Last Sunday was Darya's first turkey dinner and Thanksgiving! For all you americans, we canucks celebrate a month earlier. I wasn't really sure why, but Shane said that maybe Canada had it's harvest earlier in the old days? Sounds good to me! I always wondered if Americans were bummed that they had to eat 2 turkey dinners so close together in November and then again in December for Christmas...well I supposed they could have ham or something? Okay, enough obsessing about the turkey......Darya loved spending Thanksgiving with her family. Nana, Grandpere (french for Grandpa), Auntie Cara and cousin Talia came over for a visit. There is a photo below of Nana and Darya. Darya loved Talia who is 6 years old and chases her around laughing and following her. There is a 4.5 age year difference, but it didn't seem to matter, they bothed loved playing together. Darya loves her new cousin and I think the feeling is mutual. Darya also loved the mashed potatoes, stuffing and turkey!!! I also discovered that Miss D has a fondness for Tarte a Citrouille ( aka Pumpkin Pie) I am not sure if Pumpkie Pie is just a Canadian thing...or maybe I am thinking of Sugar Pie with Maple...sucre a la creme? Oh well.
Darya has been keeping busy trying to bust into all the cupboards and just walking all over checking things out. She LOVES the book Goodnight Moon. It's funny, she doesn't really get into the toys that are all flashy and make noise, she really is a gadget girl and loves the phone, TV remotes, calculators, computer keyboard etc.....
Here are a few photo's from Thanksgiving with Dadddy, Nana and Talia ( I was taking the picture)
Tootle-Loo for now xoxoxox
