Today was Shane's first Papa's Day , so we had a BBQ and took it easy, it was sooo hot out today. Here are some sweet photo's Sue took of Darya 2 days ago... thanks Sue! While in Kaz we took somewhere north of 2000 pictures...and since coming home have taken a lot more. We are in the process of sifting through them all and will put up a post shortly to tell everyone about how Darya is fitting right in here at home! Happy Father's Day everyone!!!

Hello Shane and Kim, I don't know if I've ever posted a comment, but I have been following your journey for quite some time now. Since before you left for Kaz.
Darya looks great! Her coloring is so different now than it was in the beginning. I have a Daria too. She's 5 1/2 now, adopted at 11 months in Russia. We're adopting again, another daughter and we're waiting for our court date (we're in week 15 of the wait - sigh).
Welcome home!
p.s. I guess I didn't realize Canada celebrates Father's Day the same as the US!
Hello! I just came across your blog on kazakhadoptivefamilies.com. You may remember me from the plane - I adopted Bohdan and was bringing him home when Shane was heading home between trips.
I'm so glad to see Darya looking so happy and loved. She's such a beautiful little girl, and I was thrilled that she found her family.
Bohdan is getting big, and just about to have his first birthday this weekend. They grow up so fast!
What a beautiful little girl! My husband and I are adopting a little boy from Kaz. He is currently 14 months old. The wait is horrible, but I know it will have been worth it :-)
Congratulations! My husband celebrated his first father's day this year, too. We adopted from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan in December. You all look very happy :-)

Hi Shane & Kim,
Your daughter is beautiful. My husband & I are adopting from Kaz and we're currently in waiting mode. How long was your wait from your dossier going to Kaz to when you traveled?
Much happiness to all of you,
Ann
