Day 14 - Waiting for court now

If you were looking forward to more pictures today of our precious Darya, birch forests or Petropavlovsk at dusk - we are sorry to say that we have no new photos. On Day 14 at the baby house we shot video all day and didn't take one picture...and our video camera is still in Oleg's car somewhere in the streets of Petropavlovsk. It is long story but we expect it back later today....plus we wouldn't have a hope of posting any video over the tiny weeny internet connection here. But rest assured there will have a video edited and ready soon enough...
Today was the 14th and final day of our official bonding period with Darya...we now wait for court. We have been told that will be going May 5th which is a week and half from today - way too long but we are waiting for a medical examine to be approved by a doctor in London England (Apparently there is a Canadian doctor that has to rubber stamp Darya's medical before we can proceed with court - it a Canadian government thing). We should know more details later when we meet with the in-country coordinator tonight.
Gotta keep this short for now....glad to see the Senators pummelled Tampa Bay last night....we are looking forward to cheering on the team deep into the playoffs when we get home.

Hi Guys,

I know a week and a half feels like ages but it'll go by fast and then you'll have your whole lives together. In the meantime, see as much as you can of Kazakhstan as this is your opportunity. I can't wait for you guys to return and to meet Darya.

I bet you're putting that dvd player to good use!Looks like a small town. Talia is looking forward to helping her Auntie Kim with the baby. She's been talking about it. Some other good news,I noticed while surfing the Tax guide(taxes are a hobby)that an adoption costs are tax deductible up to 10,000. That can buy a lot of diapers!
